The warrior chief's hair is adorned with braids intricately wrapped in strips of deer hide, accentuated by a lustrous turquoise patina. Flowing gracefully from the back of his hair, a long feather gracefully defies gravity, also finished with a captivating turquoise patina.
Drawing attention to his chest, he proudly wears a bone breastplate, a popular ornament and symbol of prestige among warriors. The number of hair-pipe bones incorporated into the breastplate often signified the warrior's wealth. Although occasionally worn in battle, these breastplates provided limited protection against arrows or bullets, primarily serving as decorative or ceremonial adornments.
Meticulously crafted using the ancient technique of lost-wax casting, this sculpture beautifully captures the intricate details and textures, while the nuanced brown patina stain lends a lifelike quality to the chief's skin tones, further perpetuating the authenticity of the piece.
Enhancing its presentation, the chief is elegantly mounted upon a black marble plinth, lending a touch of sophistication and stability to the sculpture. The plinth proudly bears the signature of the esteemed artist Milo, symbolizing the artistry and quality synonymous with his name.
This magnificent bronze bust pays homage to the noble spirit of Native American warriors, making it a captivating addition to any collection. Its exquisite craftsmanship and profound storytelling ability transport viewers to a realm of rich cultural heritage and timeless resilience.
